Exploring the Advantages of Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening with LED technology is a popular and efficient method to achieve a brighter smile. This cosmetic dental procedure typically involves the application of a hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide gel onto the teeth, which serves as the whitening agent. The LED light is then directed onto the gel-coated teeth, accelerating the whitening process. The LED light activates the peroxide molecules, breaking down stains and discoloration on the tooth surface. The process is safe and non-invasive, providing quick results without causing harm to the tooth enamel. LED technology in teeth whitening is known for its effectiveness in enhancing the brightness of teeth, often yielding noticeable improvements in just one session. As a result, individuals seeking a radiant and confident smile frequently turn to LED teeth whitening for its convenience and remarkable outcomes.

Tooth staining can be categorized into two types: intrinsic and extrinsic. Intrinsic stains are located within the inner structure of your teeth, while extrinsic stains are present on the surface (enamel) of your teeth.
If you have tried whitening before but your teeth have not responded the way you would like; you can discuss with your family dentist other cosmetic procedures like dental crowns or veneers that may be more appropriate for your situation.

Teeth whitening only works on natural teeth and cannot whiten dental restorations like crowns or veneers. It's recommended to undergo teeth whitening before getting dental restorations so the color of the crown or veneer can match your new brighter shade!
